Our own platform, secure by design

There’s a question every team that runs its own products asks sooner or later: where and how do our systems live?

Managed platforms solve part of the problem, but their cost grows with every new service. And the security of the configuration still depends on whoever sets it up.

The challenge

We wanted something a small team could understand end to end, with costs that don’t surprise anyone at the end of the month, and security built in by design, not bolted on at the end as a patch.

Most guides on the market assume there’s a whole team dedicated to infrastructure. We wanted the opposite: a platform anyone on the team could rebuild by following the documentation.

What we built

We designed the platform in layers, each on top of the previous one, the way you build a house:

• Solid foundations. Protected servers and encrypted data from day one.
• Closed by default. Each service reaches only what it needs, nothing more.
• Secrets kept safe. Credentials never live in the code.
• Safe, reversible changes. Every update can be undone in minutes.
• Tested backups. Having copies isn’t enough: you need to know how to restore them, and we practice it.
• Controls aligned with ISO 27001. Every security decision has its reasoning and its evidence.

The result

A platform that can be rebuilt from its documentation, with explained decisions and controls traceable to an international standard.

We’ll be honest about one thing: this isn’t a certification, it’s a design aligned with those standards. But what it brings to our clients is something else: when we propose an architecture, we know what it costs to run, because we run our own every day.
